🔒 TL;DR: Your files never leave your device. We don't collect personal data. We don't require accounts. We use local processing only. The most private tool is the one that never sees your data — and that's TitanFile.

1. The Core Principle

TitanFile was built with one non-negotiable rule: your files never leave your device. All processing happens locally in your browser using JavaScript, Web APIs, Canvas, and WebAssembly. There is no backend server, no file-upload endpoint, and no cloud processing. When you use TitanFile to resize an image, merge a PDF, or generate a QR code, everything happens right on your computer or phone — we never see it.

2. What We Do NOT Collect

❌ Your Files — Images, PDFs, text, code, and any data you process are handled entirely inside your browser tab. They are never transmitted to any server — ours or anyone else's.

❌ Personally Identifiable Information — We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or any account information. No sign-up is required to use any tool.

❌ Processed Output — The files you download are generated in your browser's memory and sent straight to your downloads folder. We never see, store, or have access to them.

❌ Fingerprinting or Tracking — We do not use browser fingerprinting, tracking pixels, session recordings, or any technology that identifies individual users.

3. What We Do Collect

✅ Anonymous Analytics — We use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand how many people visit the site and which tools are most popular. No personal identifiers, no fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking.

✅ Ad Personalization (Google AdSense) — Google AdSense may set cookies to show relevant ads. You can opt out at Google's Ad Settings.

✅ LocalStorage (Browser-Only) — We store your theme preference (light/dark), recently used tools, and UI settings in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time via your browser settings.

4. Third-Party Libraries & CDN Usage

Some tools load open-source JavaScript libraries from content delivery networks (CDNs). These are loaded once and cached by your browser:

PDF.js (Mozilla) — for rendering PDF pages in the browser. Loaded from cdnjs.cloudflare.com.
pdf-lib — for creating, editing, and modifying PDF documents. Loaded from cdnjs.cloudflare.com or unpkg.com.
QR code libraries — for generating and scanning QR codes locally.
js-yaml — for YAML parsing and conversion.

CDN requests reveal your IP address and browser user-agent to the CDN provider (Cloudflare/unpkg), as with any CDN-hosted resource. No file content is ever transmitted — only the library code is fetched.

5. Google AdSense

This site is partially supported by ads served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to show personalized ads based on your browsing history. For more information, visit Google's advertising policy or opt out of ad personalization.

6. Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data, there is nothing to request deletion of. If you have any concerns about ad-related tracking, you can use your browser's privacy settings, clear cookies, or use a reputable ad blocker. We kindly ask that you consider whitelisting TitanFile, as ads are our only revenue source — or buy us a coffee to support the project directly.

7. Children's Privacy

TitanFile does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since we don't require sign-ups or collect personal data, there is minimal risk. If you believe a child has submitted personal data (e.g. through the contact form), please contact us and we will delete it immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. The date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Continued use of TitanFile constitutes acceptance of any changes.
